February, 11Celebrity-turned-designer, Rachel Zoe, presented her first collection on an actual runway stage at New York Fashion Week yesterday (11/02). The inspiration behind her collection was Rock ‘n’ Roll glamour of 1960s London and this collection had many accents and pieces that remind us of that era including faux fur coats, flared pants, sequins, maxi dresses, thigh-high boots, tight-fitting tuxedos, and of course messenger bags. The palette was very fitting with the retro inspiration, including plenty of jewel tones. I particularly liked the tweed on the menswear inspired garments, I thought it looked very private school girl with that Rock ‘n’ Roll twist.
